Misogyny is a systemic issue which has resulted in the abuse and oppression of women and women's rights for decades at a time, which includes but is not limited to the systemic stripping of women's natural rights in all cultures, lack of equality of opportunities, the silencing of women's voices and opinions, rape, sexism, murder, dehumanization, and lack of bodily autonomy.
Misandry is males getting their dicks hurt by women (specifically those who have been mistreated by men their entire lives and had to face all the other horrific shit from being a woman in general) online saying "All men are trash", and saying shit like "nOt ALl meN tHo!" whilst they simultaneously fap to how they'd never want daughter and/or being overtly protective of their hypothetical daughters because they know what "all men want" and are afraid of "not being able to protect them", because they secretly know that men being trash is extremely commonplace and something that can very easily describe "All Men" and the only reason why they bother trying to defend their own sex with "nOt All MeN!" is to actively invalidate woman's problems.
they know their lies and the truth are woefully incompatible, they just really, really hope they can throw shit at the wall and it will stick because women are too naive to notice the inconsistencies. problem is that a lot of women will actually dance like monkeys for them and do the whole "women are just as hateful and cruel!!" bit.
I mean it depends, women can easily be bad people. But at the same time, what percentage of women do you know that start wars, rape and catcall and sexually harass and assault women on a regular basis, reduce women down to just a series of sexual parts, are the main ones that make the laws that strip away women's bodily rights, and cause 100% of the unwanted pregnancies women have to be burdened with? That's something that men do, not women. Women as a group are not the main reason for the creation of our system that systemically abuses and oppresses women as a whole, and frankly, to claim that "women are just as hateful" as an argument against the extreme prevalence of misogyny throughout every country and every culture, is downright stupid and disdainful.
they can definitely be horrific people, sure, but responding to conversations about usually say, murder and sexual assault, with blanket "yeah, women are totally just as bad!!" to pacify men is just insane. i won't even begin to engage w that given the stark difference in frequency between the groups. we know the threads of sociopathy, psychopathy, and the general social conditioning to act in these ways runs primarily through men and is a badge of shame held almost exclusively by men and male culture
