I had chronic insomnia + panic attacks for sooooo long before a doctor would prescribe anything other than BIRTH CONTROL PILLS for me. I wasn’t even sexually active. My periods were fine. But it must’ve been those pesky female hormones!!! I couldn’t sleep, I was literally throwing up from the panic attacks. I got diagnosed with an eating disorder before they acknowledged it was my anxiety. I did not have a bad relationship with food. But if I’m throwing up regularly it must be bulimia because I want to be skinny!

My brother was stressed before his exams and went to the doctor and got a fucking Xanax prescription from the first meeting.

I don't know what shit is going on in US but in Europe when I go to private doctor and pay they ALWAYS give me what I want without even questions. Public health care system suck though. Actually confident people are taking more seriously and they are even less likely to being attacked so... Women should try pretend to be more confident even when they are not. For example shy, meek men are attacked more than confident, outspoken women. https://www.nbcnews.com/better/health/seven-second-rule-how-avoid-being-seen-easy-target-ncna789226

More men just have type A personality: very confident, confrontational, aggressive etc. and you can see it looking at body language, moves. My mother for example has more male personality and people are afraid of her :D and she is taken seriously. Most women are really meek, unsure and ambiguous what they are saying so it is no mystery that they are not taken seriously.

Yes. I started paying attention when i was teaching and i realized i just had a much higher tolerance for BS from male students. It actually takes some focus, but watch how often men just dismiss us on the news.
